Typically, a session for individual therapy lasts 50 minutes and 75 minutes for couple/family therapy. We recommend weekly sessions. Between sessions, clients are encouraged to think about and process what was discussed. At times, you may be asked to do something specific outside of therapy sessions, such as reading a relevant book or keeping records. For therapy to “work,” you must be an active participant, both during and between the therapy sessions.
Yes! I currently accept Aetna, Optum, United Health Care, and Cigna. If you have an insurance plan that includes coverage for out-of-network providers, I am happy to supply you with monthly invoices (superbills) that you can submit for reimbursement (typically this covers a good percentage of my fee). Check with your plan directly to verify your coverage.
Currently, I offer virtual/online therapy to residents of California. Please inquire for more information.
This is a very important question. You are dedicating time and resources and want to be sure you are picking the right person. You should consider logistical factors (e.g. office location, availability) as well as personal factors (my training and expertise, personality, and 'the feel' you get). An initial phone conversation should be able answer some of these questions.
I work with ages 18 and up.

Currently, my cancellation policy is 24 hours before your session. In the event you do not cancel within that time, you will be charged the full session fee.
Hey, stuff happens! If you are running late, a text message would be greatly appreciated.
